The Way Ahead...

Tickford is owned by five shareholder-directors from the established management team at its Milton Keynes headquarters:
- Tony Braddon, Managing Director
- Dave Eddleston, Technical Director
- John Knight, Finance Director
- Paul Sayer, Operations Director
- George Waddell, Projects Director

Within six months of the buy-out, Tickford purchased Scott Gibbin, an established engine test and development company based in Peterborough. In 2009 the two test facilities were consolidated on to the Milton Keynes site.

In 2009 the joint venture company IPTickford was formed to run the vehicle emissions facility, this enabled the addition of Diesel emissions and particulate measurement. In 2010 the first of a new generation of test cell control systems was installed and -30oC cold fluid capability to three test cells.

This year investment plans are being implemented to maintain and improve the facilities in line with customer needs, more than £1millon pounds will be invested in new equipment in 2012.

The company has a committed workforce, some of whom have been with the company for many years. A development and recruitment plan is growing the number and capability of the staff coupled to strategic alliances with academic institutions and industry bodies.
